Veil? Hairpiece? or Both!?

I get this question a lot when talking with my brides:

"Would it be too much if I wore BOTH a hair accessory and a traditional veil?"

My answer 9 out of 10 times is - No! It's not too much.

Consider these few things when choosing your hair accessory.

1. Make sure your hair accessory is fluid with your wedding style - You may be asking yourself, "what does she mean". Basically if you have a beaded gown you most likely don't want to choose a flashy hairpiece. Make the selection based on your jewelry.

2. A Bride wearing a hair accessory allows her to remove the veil for her reception but leaving her something "showy" in its place. You still have that extra piece that makes you look like the princess of the party.

3. Research your accessory vendor!! This is huge. Read reviews, reach out to me, etc. I've worked with beautiful pieces from Etsy, Amazon and our local bridal shops.

REMEMBER:: You get what you pay for most of the time.

The only time I ever hesitate with this questions is if you're choosing to wear a flower crown or have fresh flowers as your accessory. Those can be a bit more challenging to make look cohesive - just my professional opinion.

What do you have planned for your wedding day? Will you be wearing one or the other, or have I changed your mind to wear both? Let me know in the comments.
